Am I At Fault Or Liable For a Nashville Rear End Accident?

Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

In the State of Tennessee, all drivers are mandated to maintain absolute control of their vehicles while driving on Tennessee roads.  This means that you are to obey the traffic laws, pay attention to your surroundings and keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you.

In most cases, the person who rear-ends the vehicle in front of them is usually found at fault for the accident.   It does not matter how or why the driver in front stopped.  The reason this is the case is because Tennessee traffic laws require that all drivers leave a reasonable and safe stopping distance between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them.  All drivers are expected to anticipate events or potential sudden changes in traffic speed or any other  hazards that may cause a sudden stop.

If you have been hit from behind, call The Nahon Firm, PLC, to discuss your case with one of our experienced and compassionate Nashville car accident lawyers.
