Product Liability Lawsuits Reduce the Danger of Tennessee Auto Accidents WARNER

Automobiles have long been a fundamental part of our daily life providing the means to get to work, schools, stores and vacation destinations just to name a few daily uses. The average American take three car rides on any given day. Automobiles have become so prevalent that they currently exceed the U.S. population.

While the experienced Nashville auto accident attorneys at The Nahon Firm, PLC know that safety requirements and standards imposed by the government have improved, those requirements sometimes fall short permitting automakers to put profit margin above public safety.

Some recent examples of product defects in the auto industry putting consumers at risk include the following:

• SUV rollover accidents resulting because of a low center of gravity and weak roof structure

• Toyota acceleration accidents

• SUV accidents caused by blowouts from defective tires

While these are some of the most newsworthy product defect issues with automobiles recently, other dangers may be posed by defective door latches, windows, fuel systems, air bags, seat belts and tires. At The Nahon Firm, PLC, we recognize that sometimes a product liability lawsuit is the only way to ensure that automobile manufacturers correct dangerous defects that may lead to catastrophic Nashville auto accidents.

Think You May Not Need An Accident Lawyer – Think Again Says Nashville Accident Attorney

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mary-Ann Mulawka, a local Nashville resident, has been slowly recovering over the past year since nearly losing her life when a semi-truck collided into her car.  Nearly one year ago a semi-truck had veered into her lane resulting in her losing control of her car and then collided into a guardrail.  Besides nearly losing her life, Mulawka sustained catastrophic injuries to both of her legs and suffered a pelvis fracture as a result of the accident.

Because her injuries were so severe, Mulawka, underwent major surgical procedures and spent several months in physical therapy with final hospital bill of more than $1 million dollars.  After all that she had undergone as a result of the semi-truck accident, Mulawka was dismayed to find out that she owed approximate $3,000 dollars to repair the guard rail that almost killed her.

One year after the accident, Mulawka is still recovering from her injuries. She said that she was shocked to receive notice that she would be expected to pay the repair bill for the guard rail especially since the guard rail was the contributing factor to her losing a leg and the other so badly damaged she still has difficulty walking.
